Renault Kardian Price – Currently, the sub-compact SUV segment is the most battleground segment in India, where every new product has to rely on a good pricing strategy to make it through the competition. Renault is all set to fight with the all-new Renault Kardian, which is already a good global micro-SUV market player. However, the buyers are asking one typical question — is the price of the Renault Kardian going to be so low as to be able to go against the Tata Punch?
Price
According to the latest industry reports, it seems that the Renault Kardian would be placed above the Tata Punch as far as price is concerned. The predicted price for the Kardian is around ₹9.5 lakh to ₹12.5 lakh (ex-showroom). There is a possibility that Renault might do a very modest starting model priced less than ₹10 lakh, but ultimately the prices of the most preferred turbo-petrol and automatic variants will fall in the range of ₹10.5 lakh to ₹12.5 lakh. The starting price for the Tata Punch at present is ₹6.13 lakh with the highest variant costing nearly ₹10.20 lakh. Hence, the Punch is the winner as per affordable pricing, while the Kardian will be focusing on the premium segment, micro-SUV and entry compact SUV.

Engine
The new engine setup is what primarily differentiates the Kardian from the Tata Punch in terms of premium features. The SUV will likely mount a 1.0-liter GDI turbo-petrol engine with an output of about 120 PS. The engine will be connected to a 6-speed DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission, alongside a manual option. The Tata Punch is restricted to a naturally aspirated petrol engine, which, although smooth and economical, does not offer the Kardian’s performance level.
Interior
The Kardian is thought to be the one bringing the worldwide-spec interior layout with the superior materials, layered dashboard design, and wide glass area for the sunny feel. The global version has a digital instrument cluster, wireless connectivity, and modern switchgear. The cars with 2.60 meters of wheelbase are probably going to have more space inside than the Punch and the Renault Kiger.

Features
In case Renault brings the international feature list to India, the Kardian can be up to date with the latest in technology. The SUV offers worldwide ADAS safety measures, 6 airbags, an electronic parking brake, connected car tech, wireless charging, and premium infotainment functions. Renault will have to rely on the rich feature list to be the basis of its premium pricing over the Punch.
Launch
The Renault Kardian has already been displayed in various markets and is on its way to many growth markets. The launch for India is predicted to be around the middle of 2025, just in time for the festive season. Renault is planning to do so with a comprehensive range of updates across the board—Kiger, Triber, and the new Kardian will play a vital role in reinvigorating the brand in the Indian market.
