Triumph Scrambler 400 X Launched in India with 40 PS Power and ₹2.62 Lakh Price, 320 mm Front Disc

Triumph Scrambler 400 X – Triumph Motorcycles has successfully partnered with Bajaj Auto to reveal the Scrambler 400 X in India. It has been marketed as the tough sibling of Speed 400, the rugged, off-road-oriented Scrambler 400 X that is equipped with classic Scrambler styling, modern performance, and the best British engineering for mid-capacity adventure bikes. The motorcycle comes with a starting price that is very competitive, and its specifications have been improved, so it is going to change the whole retro-adventure motorcycle market.

Price

Triumph Motorcycles, in collaboration with Bajaj Auto, has introduced the Triumph Scrambler 400 X in India. Its base price is ₹2.63 lakh (ex-showroom), which is a lot less than its fully-fledged counterpart, the Speed 400, and where its off-road capabilities and presence are more extensive, it goes on top of the latter. Its immediate rivals will be the Royal Enfield Scram 411 and KTM 390 Adventure X, but it promises premium British engineering at an economic price.

Engine

The engine under the skin of the Scrambler 400 X is a 398.15 cc ‘TR-Series’ liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine taking charge of the whole motorcycle. It receives 40 PS at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. A six-speed transmission with a slip and assist clutch provides power that is smooth throughout and gives a lot of torque in the low-to-mid range which is good for both riding in the city and off-road.

Design

The motorcycle includes a 19-inch front wheel with Metzeler Karoo Street tires suitable for both pavements and off-road, 43 mm inverted Big Piston Forks and a back gas monoshock with 150 mm travel. Besides, the wide handlebars, lower and wider footpegs, and a higher 835 mm seat create a dominating position for the rider, particularly on the off-road.

Safety

The 320 mm front disc along with four-piston radial caliper takes care of braking. The dual-channel ABS can be turned off in the rear wheel for allowing controlled slides on the dirt. As far as protection against off-road conditions is concerned, the bike comes with the following features: a headlight grille, a radiator guard, knuckle guards, and an aluminum sump guard.

Features

The Scrambler 400 X is an awesome blend of retro vibes and modern practicality. Its ergonomic riding position, adventure-ready accessories, and robust hardware make it fit for both city use and weekend trail rides.
