Tata Sierra: Tata has unveiled the production version of Sierra, and this SUV is not only remarkable for its new design and contemporary cabin but it also attracts attention for the new features which are firsts in Tata’s history. Before its opening on November 25, the Sierra is giving out a premium take that is a fusion of technology, comfort, and innovativeness. Let us now examine the five new features that are brought by Sierra to Tata’s lineup.
1. Screens
Tata Sierra comes out with the first-ever triple-screen dashboard layout of any Tata automobile. The arrangement runs the whole width of the interior, making one continuous panel for the driver display, infotainment unit, and passenger-side screen. Although the screens were not functional during the reveal, the fluid design gives an insight into a new-age cockpit experience based on clarity and connected technology. More details on the interface and features will be revealed during the launch.
2. Soundbar
There is a soundbar integrated into the dashboard that has come into being with the Sierra which is located right below the central infotainment screen. This JBL system with Dolby Atmos support is going to antique audio quality and also enrich the acoustic environment of the cabin. The sound bar is connected to many speakers placed throughout the cabin and boot area, and it is going to deliver a surrounding listening experience that is different from anything earlier offered in Tata SUVs.
3. Engine
Tata’s new 1.5-litre TGDi turbo petrol engine is what Sierra is bringing along; a powerful unit that was first exhibited at Auto Expo 2023. This new engine is thought to be capable of providing the perfect mix of power and fuel efficiency thereby ensuring Tata’s smooth positioning of the Sierra in the mid-size SUV segment. The type of transmission has not been announced yet but it can be expected that both manual and automatic gearboxes will be offered once the SUV is made available for purchase.
4. Visors
The extendable sun visor system is another incredible feature which has been added as a very considerate though rare in this class feature. The sun visors can be drawn out to cover a larger area and glare to a greater extent. The feature is small but very useful and it adds a lot more to the comfort level in the cabin for both the driver and front passenger.
5. Taillamps
Besides that, the Sierra has tail lamps for auxiliary that come on by themselves when the powered tailgate is opened. The SUV has a continuous LED tail-lamp strip as its main visual signature, but these extra lights still help to make the vehicle’s back side clearly visible to the traffic behind, especially when the vehicle is parked roadside with the boot opened.
