Tata Curvv Coupe SUV – The Tata Curvv has completely changed the scenario in the mid-size SUV segment of India by bringing in the Coupe-SUV body style to the market. The Curvv, which is a product of Tata Motors, is a perfect blend of bold design along with its long-time commitment to safety, thus attracting the buyers who are after style, performance, and peace of mind. It has a highly successful launch due to its well-determined prices, efficient engines, and therefore, it is a strong contender within its segment.

Safety

The safety aspect of the Curvv is what truly drives the design of the car. Both the petrol version and the electric Curvv.ev have received a 5-Star rating from the Bharat NCAP (BNCAP) crash tests. The adult occupant’s safety is made possible by the presence of a strong body and good frontal and side impact performance. The children are also in a safe environment there, with the ISOFIX anchors and the strong crash handling. The standard safety equipment comprises six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and seat belt reminders for all seats, which indeed makes high safety standards reachable for all variants of the vehicle.

Engine

The 1.2L Hyperion GDI Turbo-Petrol engine that powers the Curvv is a perfect combination of performance and efficiency. The engine gives an output of 123 PS and a torque of 225 Nm. The customer can opt for either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, so it’s a matter of choice between spirited driving and city-friendly convenience. Also, there is a 1.5L Kryotec Diesel variant which produces 116 PS and 260 Nm of torque and is offered in both manual and automatic transmissions.

Design and Features

The Curvv’s roofline inspired by coupe models makes it look different and sporty, but at the same time, it has the practicality of an SUV. With a length of 4,308 mm, it finds itself right in the compact-to-mid-size segment. The exterior is characterized by an angry front end, LED light bars that are linked, and elegant alloy wheels. The interior is packed with luxurious features such as two 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and digital driver display, heated and cooled seats, a sunroof that opens all the way and is available in higher trims, and top-notch materials. The Curvv has the appearance of a coupe, but it still has a trunk space of 500 liters, hence the practicality is not compromised.

Pricing

The Tata Curvv is priced competitively in the mid-size SUV segment. The base petrol variant costs around ₹9.66 Lakh (Ex-showroom), whereas the 1.2L Turbo-Petrol variants are priced between ₹10.50 Lakh and ₹11.00 Lakh.
