MG Astor: The MG Astor facelift is set to be released in India probably in the later part of 2025 or early 2026. The updated version of the SUV will be a combination of contemporary design, enhanced functions, and possibly a hybrid engine. To compete in the mid-size SUV market with the likes of Hyundai Creta and Skoda Kushaq, the picture of the Astor with a fresh new grille, a rejuvenated exterior, and an upgraded cabin tech will be the driving factors that the facelift intends to build on.

Design
MG Astor’s facelift version is to sport a veritable “celestial grille” defined by a dynamically glowing set of front and rear lights. The redesign of the car will give it a more aggressive and posh look but will not alter the basic figure. It is mostly the minute contours on the bumpers, alloys variations, and rear treatments that will upgrade the fresh impression of being high-tech, thus making the car distinguished in the pack of C1 SUVs.
Interior
The revamped Astor will provide a more luxurious and technology-driven living space. Arranging the potential in-cabin upgradings, an array of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a larger touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android and Apple Carplay along with the upgraded i-Smart 2.0 system with AI assistant will be the components to bring the facelifted SUV to tech-savvy customers. Moreover, the SUV is likely to offer considerable comfort and convenience for daily commute because of features such as perforated front seats, a moonroof, and improved connectivity options including a digital key.

Performance
The existing 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol and 1.3-liter turbo-petrol machines will continue to power the facelift car. One more version of the kombination of 1.5L petrol and 100kw electric-motor might be launched, thus attracting eco-consciousness with its better fuel efficiency and no-backward-driving-at-all city-friendly aspect. The automakers are likely to provide both manual and automatic options for the transmission thus allowing convenience of choice for the buyers in India.
Safety
The MG Astor is always safe. The redesigned car is slated to carry over from the previous model the six airbags, the anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), as well as the Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) attributes. Among others, the SUV could get collision avoidance technology, better driver visibility during the night, and the like, making it a safe option for families.

Price
The MG Astor facelift is likely to come in a price range of ₹10.82 lakh to ₹18.73 lakh (ex-showroom), thereby putting it right in the middle of the others in the premium mid-size SUV segment. The company has summed up the facelift with a refreshed look, cutting-edge, and possibly even hybrid efficiency, as an SUV that holds all the right cards to bring in buyers looking for a feature-rich, stylish, and practical SUV.
Launch
MG Astor facelift is supposedly going to have its official anniversary in India in about November 2025. It is expected that there is going to be a release of early reservations around the time of the launch, which would enable the customers to hold their SUV before it is officially introduced. MG is expected to demonstrate the hybrid variant and all the new features at the automobile expos as well as at the dealer events, to build interest and thus make pre-orders possible.
