The Jimny has kept its square and sturdy appearance that speaks of durability. The small footprint—slightly less than four meters in length—makes it a city car while grounding clearance at 210mm makes it capable of taking on rough terrains. The five-door layout adds convenience but does not compromise on its off-road ready look.

The Jimny is powered by the reliable K15B petrol engine of 1.5-litre capacity that delivers 103 bhp approximately. The manual option is a 5-speed and the automatic one is a 4-speed transmission (AT). This configuration provides the best of both worlds: smooth and effortless driving in the city during the day and enough torque and control for off-road scenarios during the night.
Performance
Jimny is able to stand out from the crowd of compact SUVs owing to the ALLGRIP PRO 4×4 system. The system comes with a low-range gearbox that gives additional power and torque in case of steep inclines or muddy roads. Together with the ladder frame chassis, it guarantees strength and certainty wherever the journey—by road or trail—takes you.

The cabin is now able to accommodate four adults comfortably, making it family friendly. The top variants come with 6 airbags, making safety a priority.

The Jimny 5-Door is an excellent off-road vehicle, but thumbs up for being very city-friendly. The main reason for this is compact size that lets parking and maneuvering through traffic easily. The additional doors are a good solution to the problem of the previous three-door model’s practicality.

Maruti Jimny 5-Door can be bought through NEXA dealerships. The base price for the manual gearbox Zeta variant is approximately ₹12.32 Lakh, and the very luxurious Alpha AT Dual Tone variant is the most expensive at ₹14.45 Lakh (ex-showroom).
