Maruti Suzuki eVitara India Launch Date: Price, Range, Features, and Specs

Maruti Suzuki eVitara: Maruti Suzuki will be entering the electric vehicle market in India with its eVitara, which is confirmed to be launched on December 2, 2025. The eVitara is the company’s first electric SUV targeting consumers who want a reliable, feature-rich electric SUV. With this launch, Maruti Suzuki aims to further make its presence felt in the alternative fuel segment while also trying to gain back the market share lost in the passenger vehicle sector. The carmaker has already set a routine of introducing eight new models and pumping in Rs 70,000 crore as part of its revamped plan, with the eVitara leading the charge.

Design

The eVitara is a completely new battery electric machine and has the dimensions of a mid-sized SUV. The front part is equipped with sharp LED headlights and 3-point Matrix LED DRLs, which provide it with a contemporary and bold look. 18-inch alloy wheels, which are aerodynamic and thus not merely for looks, are also present on the side of the vehicle. The back of the vehicle has been fitted with trendy LED lights. Overall, the exterior design has a natural and well-balanced look, combining sophistication with a sporty nature that is suitable for both city and highway driving.

Cabin

The eVitara’s interior strives to elevate the standard for the electric vehicle segment of Maruti Suzuki up to the very top marks. The combination of the two-tone and the floating center console with the twin-deck layout gives the cabin a more upscale appearance than the digital cockpit, which is doubling up with screens for the driver and infotainment controls. The fixed glass roof and the multicolor ambient lighting are some of the elements that are enhancing the appeal of this tech-rich, modern, and spacious environment for people who are onboard, both the driver and passengers.

Platform and Powertrain

The eVitara is a vehicle that was developed using the HEARTECT-e platform, which is particularly suited to hold a large battery pack while also perfectly fitting the eAXLE system. The eAXLE is a new electric drive unit that combines the motor, inverter, and reduction gear into one unit, thus providing higher performance and better efficiency. The Indian version of the SUV will be equipped with a 61 kWh battery pack that is said to give an approximate maximum distance of 500 km on a single charge. While some other countries might get dual-motor AWD versions, the Indian model is likely to come with front-wheel drive and a single eAXLE that provides just the right performance for city and highway driving conditions.

Safety

In the eVitara, safety is a primary concern. The SUV is equipped with Level 2 ADAS features making the most advanced driver assistance available and thus, the safest way of driving. In addition to that, the vehicle will have standard safety features such as ABS, EBD, and ESC, along with seven airbags including the driver knee airbag which is a first for Maruti brand. All these features lead to a high degree of passenger protection even while the EV safety standards are maintained by the manufacturers.

Colours

Ten different color options, which include four dual-tone finishes, will be provided for the eVitara by Maruti Suzuki. Among them are the shades of Nexa Blue, Splendid Silver, Arctic White, Grandeur Grey, Bluish Black, Opulent Red, and Land Breeze Green. The dual-tone options will give an added flair with a Bluish Black roof which will also help in the differentiation of style and personalization for the buyers.

Launch and Outlook

The eVitara that has a confirmed date of launch on December 2, 2025, is expected to stir up a lot of curiosity amongst Indian EV buyers. With a roomy interior, a modern look, luxurious features, and a long-range power capability, the eVitara is all set to be a strong player in the electric SUV segment of middlesize cars.
