Maruti e Vitara Set for 2 December Launch – A Practical Long-Range EV for Indian Families

Maruti e Vitara – Maruti has eventually decided to get in the electric car market by revealing the Maruti e Vitara on December 2, 2025. Besides, it’s the last eon of waiting, countless delays, and prepping that India’s leading automaker will disclose the price tag of its very first electric SUV. The e-Vitara is already being produced in the Gujarat factory, and the Maruti company has already sent 6,000 units to Europe and the UK, proving that the car is fully ready. For the Indian market, the SUV will be available in ten colors and three variants. Therefore, this launch is just the first step in Maruti’s plan to roll out four electric vehicles by 2030.

Design

The e Vitara showcases a neat and uncomplicated design, remaining loyal to Maruti’s down-to-earth second approach. It has a futuristic vibe due to its sharp contouring, LED projector headlights, and a well-balanced SUV silhouette. The total design is intended for Indian families who are looking for a clean, low-maintenance look that is also practical. Maruti will provide ten color options as an incentive for buyers to select a color that suits them.

Interior and Features

The e-Vitara’s interior, or cabin, provides a premium feel but is also very user-friendly. It features a spacious layout, comfortable seating, and up-to-date technology. Maruti is providing features, which are generally found in high-end vehicles only, with the SUV. Some of the features are Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, TPMS, LED projector headlamps, multiple driving modes, and Suzuki Connect features. The 10-way power driver seat and seven airbags add to comfort and safety, thereby making the cabin feel more advanced compared to typical Maruti models.

Battery and Range

Maruti is giving the e Vitara in two battery options: 48.8kWh and 61.1kWh. A single motor with front-wheel drive is common for both versions. The smaller battery pack is more suitable for urban commuting, whereas the larger pack is offered for long trips on the highway. Maruti has made a bold claim of up to 500 km of range per charge, which is a very good figure and helps the customer to overcome the fear of running out of battery before reaching the next charging station. Battery charging from 0 to 80% in about 50 minutes is very good as it makes long-distance travel more convenient.

Price

The government rate will be declared on 2 December 2025. Maruti is probably going to make the e Vitara an economical long-range EV with an offer to attract the mass market. If the price is set right, it may become one of the most practical electric SUVs in India.
