Mahindra Vision S – The Mahindra Vision S, which is also referred to as the Baby Scorpio, has recently been seen maneuvering in Indian roads with finish body panels that are ready for mass production. This model will be the smallest member of the Scorpio family and will be Mahindra’s first step towards capturing the compact SUV segment with upper-middle class customers. Mahindra’s target will be buyers who want a small and strong SUV with advanced technologies and a variety of powertrains that include petrol, diesel, and electric.

Launch
Mahindra has assured that SUVs inspired by the Vision will start coming from 2027 on. The prototype version of the Vision S is likely to be uncovered in 2026, and its market entrance is expected by early 2027.
Design
The Vision S maintains the family’s natural attributes, mainly those associated with traditional Gandhi-style cars, with a confident and upstanding SUV posture. The vehicle has a cube-like silhouette, squared-off wheel arches, an upright glass area, short overhangs, and a spare wheel on the tailgate. The front section features Mahindra’s trademark vertical-slat grille, and round headlamps while the rear section has tall vertical tail lamps, rugged bumper styling, and a bold presence on the road. The side view is neat, with smooth surfaces and a strong shoulder line that is supported by the large alloy wheels.

Interior
The Vision S features an entirely new cabin design. It has two digital displays that are separated by an air conditioning vent, physical buttons for the most essential functions, and a separate climate control unit. A new round, three-spoke steering wheel with haptic touch controls elevates the premium aspect of the passenger compartment.
Engine
The vehicle is based on the new Mahindra NU.IQ modular platform which can accommodate petrol, diesel, hybrid, and EV configurations. The anticipated engine options include a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel. Additionally, Mahindra assured that the SUVs derived from the Vision S would also be made available with an electrically driven powertrain. The NU.IQ platform, however, is not only meant for the plans of Mahindra that involve the SUVs.
