Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition – The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition is an embodiment of the triumph of Mahindra’s fresh electric collection and it comes with a sportier appearance, more fun inside and a powerful battery with long range. The BE 6 and XEV 9e have already achieved the milestone of being over 30,000 units sold and this limited edition is the road-ready EV that brings Mahindra’s Formula E spirit right to your doorstep.
Design
The BE 6 Formula E Edition is an extension of the standard BE 6’s daring appearance and it introduces sharper and more aggressive styling. The C-shaped running daytime lights (DRLs) are now replaced with sleek edge-mounted DRLs and a round projector headlamp that results in a more sinister-looking face. The bumper gets a makeover featuring exposed screws and a hefty skid plate to illustrate a tough, rally-inspired position. Besides, the SUV is fitted with 20-inch wheels and exhibits distinctive race-like graphics. Moreover, the rear has been equipped with a dual-spoiler arrangement and a better bumper design. Formula E-inspired lighting animations confer an air of exclusivity. The limited edition can be ordered in the colors of Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red, and Stealth Black.
Interior and Features
On the inside, the interior enhances the present-day BE 6’s feeling of a cockpit. The omnipresence of orange on the dashboard, seats, and door panels gives a motorsport look that runs through the cabin. The seats have double-tone upholstery and orange stitching and are also branded as BE 6 Formula E. The seatbelts are likewise marked with Formula E. Among the distinctive features is a dazzling FIA-branded plaque on the center console and a special flip-up cover for the start/stop button. The dashboard has panels made of carbon-fibre-style and the sunroof features vertical stripe patterns.
The BE 6 Formula E edition encompasses all the features of the standard BE 6, such as a pair of 12.3-inch displays, a Harman Kardon audio system consisting of 16 speakers, wireless battery charging, double air conditioning, and a bird’s eye camera. Additionally, safety mechanisms like 6 airbags, all-around disc brakes, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), monitors for front and back parking, a technology to overlook blind spots, and a driver alert for fatigue are included.
Engine
Mahindra is providing this unique edition only with the 79kWh battery that is the larger one for the customer’s maximum performance and range requirements. The rear-drive configuration produces 285 PS and 380 Nm, this along with the very high acceleration, the firm has also claimed a range of 682 kilometers. The vehicle allows for 180 kW fast charging which means that on long trips one does not have to wait long for recharging.
Variants and Price
The BE 6 Formula E Edition comes in two different variants:
the FE2 priced at Rs 23.69 lakh and the FE3 at Rs 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This cost makes it a sportier, lifestyle-oriented EV, whereas the practical segment consists of the likes of Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV, and MG ZS EV, which are all cheaper.
Bookings and Delivery
Bookings for the Formula E Edition will be accepted starting January 14, 2026, and deliveries will be made beginning February 14, 2026. The first purchasers will receive special treats like getting their name printed on Mahindra’s Formula E racing car and the opportunity to win a trip to the 2026 London E-Prix. In addition, three winners will be able to have a special racing experience with F1 reserve driver Kush Maini.
