IONIQ 6 Lands in India: The Electric Sedan That Combines Executive Luxury with 600+ km of Zero-Emission Range

Design

The IONIQ 6 is Hyundai’s “Electrified Streamliner” with its sleek, coupe-like roofline piercing through the air with no resistance at all to reach the maximum range. Besides being very futuristic, the flowing curves also perform their purpose of reducing drag, thus providing the EV with a sporty, aerodynamic standing. The people inside get spoiled with an executive cabin; the dedicated EV platform brings a flat floor, making legroom and the rear passengers’ experience almost like a lounge. The Parametric Pixel LED lights on the headlamps, tail lamps, and even the steering wheel are unique and create the modern and distinctive signature of the car.

Range

The IONIQ 6 features a large 77.4 kWh battery pack with an anticipated WLTP range of over 614 km. The powerful electric motor can be chosen from either a 225 hp RWD or the more powerful 320 hp AWD configuration, which can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds for the AWD model. The 800V ultra-fast charging allows recharging from 10% to 80% in only 18 minutes using a 350 kW DC charger and, thus, making long-distance travel hassle-free.

Features

Luxury and technology are the main aspects of the IONIQ 6 experience. A pair of 12.3-inch display screens arrange the driver display and infotainment in a single panel that is plain to see. The front seats go into full recline mode and assume a zero-gravity posture for maximum relaxation. The V2L (Vehicle to Load) function enables the EV to supply power not only to electrical appliances but also to other EVs directly from its battery. Safety includes Level 2 ADAS, with adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and other advanced.

Price & Launch

The IONIQ 6, which is going to be a premium electric sedan, will be first seen in India as a CBU import in 2025-2026. It is going to be a top-class competitor in the Indian EV market with its long range, fast charging, luxurious interiors, and advanced technology.

The Ex-Showroom price range is expected to be in the ballpark of ₹65 Lakh and ₹75 Lakh, which corresponds to its high-end and imported positioning.
