Hero Xtreme 160R 4V – Hero MotoCorp has recently increased the Xtreme 160R 4V series with the completely new Cruise Control variant, which is marketed at a price of Rs 1,34,100 (the ex-showroom price in Delhi). This premium version is approximately Rs 4,500 dearer than the base version and incorporates a range of cutting-edge features that heighten comfort, convenience, and riding experience for both daily commuters and riders.
Features
The main feature of the new variant is the ride-by-wire throttle system which allows for cruise control, enabling the rider to maintain a constant speed without the need to hold the throttle. This makes it much less tiring to go for long highway rides. The Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control variant also brings along three riding modes – Rain, Road, and Sport – which can be quickly accessed through the enhanced switchgear. Moreover, it is equipped with a new LED headlamp and contemporary colour LCD instrument cluster, which is taken from the Xtreme 250R, providing it with a high-end and tech-savvy appearance.

Design & Colours
The new Cruise Control variant comes with four attractive colour choices: Black with Red accents, dual-tone Forest Green and Neon Green, Bronze with Black finish, and the matte Grey Combat Edition. These colour choices add to the sporty, aggressive, and bold character of the Xtreme 160R 4V, thereby making it very prominent on the road.
Engine & Performance
The newly launched variant is mechanically identical to the one with the older 163.2cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine which is already in use. The engine is capable of developing a peak power of 16.9bhp at 8,500rpm and delivering 14.6Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The suspension system remains the same with a KYB inverted front fork and a rear monoshock, providing a balanced ride that is good for both city commuting and highway cruising.

Brakes & Safety
The stopping power of the motorcycle is made possible by the front disc and the rear disc with a diameter of 276mm and 220mm respectively, together with dual-channel ABS as a standard feature. The braking system in combination with the cruise control function provides the riders with the controlled and assured rides even when the speeds are quite high.
Verdict
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control variant has the addition of features like cruise control, riding modes, an LED headlight, and a colour LCD dash that not only makes the bike more convenient but also more modern without sacrificing its performance and reliability. It enforces Hero MotoCorp’s presence in the competitive 160cc segment which appeals to the riders looking for a blend of technology, style, and practicality.
