2026 Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Imagined in New Colours

2026 Mahindra XUV700: Mahindra has initiated a substantial overhaul for its most popular SUV XUV700. First unveiled in 2021, the XUV700 has sold over 300,000 units and still goes strong in the Indian market. The refreshed model has been seen more than once during testing, and the digital artists’ renders based on these hidden pictures have shown how the new SUV might be like when it arrives in 2026. The pictures present the XUV700 in eight fresh colour options along with updated styling and a more luxurious interior package.

Design

The XUV700 possesses a powerful road presence but Mahindra is aimed at giving the SUV a more sophisticated and refined appearance. The test vehicles exhibit new twin-barrel projector headlamps, new LED DRLs, and a reworked front grille. It is also believed that the alloy wheels would get a new design along with the rear bumper getting minor changes and the tail-lamp detailing being altered. The changes made to the exterior allow the SUV to maintain its robust character while at the same time appearing more contemporary.

Safety

The new XUV700 model equipped with a facelift is expected to be a trailblazer in Safety by introducing next-gen Level 2 ADAS features for superior passenger protection. Presently, the model is delivered with 7 airbags, ESC, hill assist, a 360-degree camera, and tyre pressure monitoring system. It’s possible that Mahindra might broaden the ADAS features list to keep the SUV well-positioned in its segment, especially when the advanced safety technology becomes a major factor influencing the customers’ purchasing decision.

Interior

In the interior of the upgraded XUV700, the triple-screen layout will be the main attraction. Mahindra was the first to unveil this setup on XEV 9e and now the facelift of XUV700 is waiting for it as well. The existing model has two 10.25-inch displays, but the triple-screen layout gives more premium and futuristic experience while the front passenger can control the infotainment functions more efficiently.

The facelift will also have a new steering wheel with a glowing Mahindra logo. It is assumed that the premium touches like leather wrapping for the steering wheel and gear lever will still be there. The redesigned steering controls would have a sleeker look and more user-friendly functionality.

One more big change is the addition of 16 speakers Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos. This installation will be a replacement for the existing 12-speaker Sony system and guarantees a more exciting audio experience. In addition, there will be an auto-dimming IRVM, improved rear-seat BYOD support, and on certain variants, the possibility of captain seats in the second row.

Features

Besides the new screens and audio system, Mahindra is also focusing on enhancing the digital cockpit experience. The triple-screen layout connects info and entertainment in a more fluid manner thus making the cabin more high-tech. It is also expected that the overall luxury will be improved by the ambient lighting and soft-touch materials on the dash.

Engine

The 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine will continue to be the most powerful option at 200 PS and 380 Nm. It can be combined with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The 2.2-liter diesel engine also comes in two versions, the higher one producing 185 PS. The torque is 420 Nm for the manual and 450 Nm for the automatic. Since these powertrains already have great performance, Mahindra is probably not going to change anything in this area.

Launch

The 2026 Mahindra XUV700 Facelift will probably be officially presented next year, as it is going to launch at a similar time. The vehicle is going to be a refreshed version of the current one with great technology, design, and cabin features. Because of this, it is going to hold the premium SUV market segment. Besides, there will be more information over the next months as testing continues.
