Toyota Kirloskar Motor just presented the brand-new Innova Hycross for the Indian market. Although official reservations have started, the costs will be revealed in January 2023. In the fiscal year 2022–2023, Maruti Suzuki will also release a C-MPV based on the brand-new Toyota Innova Hycross. It will be Maruti Suzuki’s first rebadged Toyota product to be launched in India. The new Maruti MPV will be sold through the Nexa dealership network because it is a high-end product.
The 2019 Maruti MPV is anticipated to receive a few design updates. It might have a grille, front bumper, and headlamps with a unique design. There can be some distinctive features in the back profile as well. Maruti Suzuki’s three-row MPV will share a monocoque structure with the Innova Hycross and feature a front-wheel drive (FWD) system. While the interior is anticipated to have a different colour scheme from the Innova Hycross, the layout and features will be comparable.
The more expensive variants will come with an ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) that includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beam. It will be the first Maruti Suzuki vehicle to feature ADAS technology. Along with these features, the MPV will also come equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, dual-zone climate control, a powered driver seat with memory functionality, powered leg rests for the second row of passengers, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and hill hold assist.
The 2.0L gasoline engine with Toyota’s new-generation powerful hybrid unit, which produces 172 horsepower, will be available in the new Maruti MPV’s powertrain system. A combined output of 184 horsepower will be provided by the latter. Maruti Suzuki’s three-row MPV is anticipated to have similar fuel efficiency to the Toyota Innova Hycross, which achieves 21.1 kmpl.
