The country’s leading automobile manufacturer Tata Motors is preparing to launch two popular SUVs – Harrier and Safari with significant updates for the year. Both these SUVs are expected to enter the new avatar in early 2023 with new updates. The company has been testing the latest models of both SUVs for some time now. Meanwhile, some unique details about the new Safari facelift have come to the fore.
Design of 2023 Tata Safari Facelift
According to the report, the 2023 Tata Safari facelift will likely come with a slightly improved design. Most of the cosmetic changes will be made to the front fascia. It will have a new grille with silver finish holes and more circular headlamps with sharper LED DRLs. Apart from this, the carmaker can also offer some new colour schemes.
Safety Features of the 2023 Tata Safari Facelift
The new Safari facelift SUV is expected to be launched with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). Due to this, it can be the first car of Tata with ADAS features. It also gets adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring system, front collision warning, collision mitigation system (CMS), driver monitoring system (DMS), lane departure warning system (LDWS), electronic stability control (ESC) and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). It will come with safety features like A 360-degree camera can also be found in this SUV. The touchscreen infotainment unit could be more significant than the current one and keep wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
2023 Tata Safari Facelift Features
The Tata Safari SUV model lineup currently comprises 36 variants: Dark Edition, Kaziranga Edition, Adventure Edition, Jet Edition and Gold Edition. It will get leatherette upholstery, iRA-connected car features, a panoramic sunroof, 9 speakers JBL audio system, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, part digital instrument cluster with 7.0-inch TFT display, 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat, 6 airbags, hill descent Features like remote controls, Isofix child seat anchors and auto-dimming rearview mirror will be carried over from the upcoming model just like the current model.
2023 Tata Safari Facelift engine and gearbox
The Tata Safari SUV currently comes with only a diesel engine. The new 2023 Tata Safari facelift will also get a 2.0-litre diesel engine. This engine generates a power of 168 bhp and a torque of 350 Nm. 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options are available with this engine. The updated Safari and Harrier SUVs will debut at the 2023 in January.
