Tata mocks Mahindra ahead of Mahindra XUV400 EV launch

The Indian electric vehicle segment is growing a lot. People prefer electric cars in view of a better environment and running costs. Tata Motors has a one-sided possession of the country’s EV market. Tata Nexon EV and Tigor EV are the best-selling electric cars in the country. At the same time, SUV specialist Indian company Mahindra is also preparing to launch a new electric SUV in the market. According to the reports, the Mahindra XUV400 EV may be launched in January next year.

Tata Motors launched the Tata Nexon EV in India in January 2022. Since then, the Nexon EV has consistently remained the best-selling electric car in the country. However, Mahindra has also prepared to jump into the electric car market with vigour. Let us tell you that Mahindra unveiled the Mahindra XUV400 in September this year. The company can launch it in January next year.

Mahindra XUV400: Features

Talking about the features of Mahindra XUV400, the upcoming electric car will come with a 39.4kWh battery pack. This car can hold a speed of 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 8.3 seconds. The upcoming electric SUV will travel 456 kilometres on a single charge. The fast charger will charge this car 0-80 per cent in 50 minutes. Its price will also be announced during the launch.

Tata Nexon EV: Specifications

Tata Nexon EV comes with a power of 30.2kWh battery pack. This car can cover a distance of 312 kilometres on a single charge. Talking about the price, its ex-showroom price starts from Rs. 14.99 lakhs to Rs. 17.50 lakhs. With the fast charger, you can charge it 10-80 per cent in 60 minutes. This car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 9.9 seconds.

Tata told on Twitter that Nexon EV is number one today and will remain number one tomorrow. It shows that Tata Nexon EV has sold from 0 to 35,000 plus units. This journey will be challenging for Mahindra’s new electric SUV. Indeed, in the electric vehicle segment, we will see good competition between Tata Motors and Mahindra.
