Tata Motors displayed several of its upcoming car models at the 2023 Auto Expo. This included the Harrier EV, Avinya and Safari EV, and the Curvv petrol concept. Apart from this, Tata also introduced CNG versions of Punch and Altroz, a sportier Altroz racer version, Tiago Blitz and Dark Red editions of Harrier and Safari. Tata Harrier and Safari Red Edition will be the top-end variants in its line-up.
Tata Harrier and Safari Red Edition will be launched in the country in March 2023. The Harrier and Safari Red editions will come with Oberon Black body colour, Zircon Red inserts in the front grille, DARK logo on the fenders, Satin Daytona Gray front and rear skid plates, and 18-inch Blackstone alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the Dark Red Edition will get a Carnelian Red theme, leatherette seats with diamond cut quilting, leatherette grab handles on the doors and central console, steel black front dashboard design, steering wheel console and many other updates.
Features in the new Safari Dark Red Edition include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch digital TFT instrument console, 9-speaker JBL sound system with amplifier, iRA connected car tech, captain seat, 360-degree surround view system, memory And 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat with welcome function, powered co-driver seat with boss mode and moonlighting will be provided in the sunroof.
The Dark Red edition of the Harrier gets most of the features also offered in the Safari Red. Ventilated driver and co-driver seats, and wireless charger, and a C-type charging port have been provided in this car. Features like 6 airbags and ADAS are available in this car. Features like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Change Alert, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, Door Open Alert and High Beam Assist are available in this ADAS tech.
Tata Harrier and Safari Red Dark Edition will get the same 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, which generates 168bhp power and 350 Nm torque. It will be given a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic.
These cars will compete with Mahindra’s XUV 700, which has many safety features and an ADAS system with the option of diesel and petrol engines.
