Renault updated its cars with this special feature; know what has changed

Car manufacturer Renault has updated its entire range of cars as per the upcoming emission norms, i.e. RDE, which will be applicable from April 2023. Kwid, Triber, and Kiger are present in the company’s line-up. Many new safety features have also been given to these cars. Apart from this, the company has also introduced a new variant of Kwid. Bookings have started for these new updated models, Triber and Kiger have been made available across the dealerships, but the prices have yet to be revealed.

All three cars will continue to come with their respective petrol engines, which have been updated to meet the Real Time Driving emission norms. All these cars will be equipped with a self-diagnosis device, continuously monitoring the emission levels while driving. Along with this, other important emission equipment like Catalyst Converter and Oxygen Sensor will also be available in these cars.

Engine

Renault Triber gets a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine generating power of 72hp. This car gets the option of a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. While the naturally aspirated engine from the Triber is also available in the Kiger. In which only a 5-speed manual transmission option is available. On the other hand, the Kiger gets a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that generates 100hp power. The car gets the option of a 5-speed manual and CVT transmission.

The new variant of Kwid

The company has also launched a new RXE variant of the Kwid, priced at Rs 4.69 lakh. The car gets a 1.0-litre petrol-manual powertrain. This is the entry-level variant of the Kwid.

Many safety features have also been given in these cars of the 2023 model, which include an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS) and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The Kwid now gets LED turn indicators on the wing mirrors and steering-mounted controls. While the Triber MPV now gets new seat upholstery and chrome-finished door handles.
