Renault can bring an electric variant of the Kwid; see details

According to recent reports, Renault India could soon release the entry-level hatchback Kwid in an electric version that would be outstanding in terms of appearance, functionality, and battery life.

In 2024, the affordable electric car Renault Kwid Electric can be launched in India, which has been launched in European countries under the name Dacia Spring EV. The car is sold in China as the Renault City K-ZE.

The Renault Kwid Electric will resemble its gasoline-powered counterpart in design and features. At the same time, it may undergo certain cosmetic and mechanical alterations to meet the needs of an electric vehicle. In the Indian market, it may be less than Rs 10 lakh in price.

The upcoming Renault Kwid Electric will be equipped with a powerful battery, ranging from 230 km to 305 km on a single charge. The top speed of the Renault Kwid EV will be up to 125 kmph. This electric car can be charged up to 80 per cent in just 30 minutes with a DC fast charger.
