Next to Seltos, Sonet, and Carens, a New Kia Carnival and Sorento SUV was spotted.

The new Carnival might debut in India later this year, but it’s still being determined when Sorento will arrive in this country.

Kia has become one of the nation’s most well-known SUV manufacturers in only a few years. However, Kia has far lesser vehicles for India than it does for the rest of the world. Sonet, Seltos, and Carens are some of India’s most popular Kia vehicles.

In the future, Kia will diversify its product offering to include both ICE and EV categories. To capture a higher part of the PV component, this is required. At the 2023 Auto Expo, Kia will introduce several new goods in this direction. The Kia EV9 Concept, the new Carnival, and the Kia Sorento are on the list. The Sorento and new Carnival have been spotted unmasked for the first time in India.

Kia Sorento Spied in India

The Sorento has already been launched in India. As you may remember, the third-generation Sorento was introduced at the 2018 Auto Expo. At the 2023 Auto Expo, the fourth-generation model will be presented. In 2020, the Sorento in this variant was introduced to foreign territories. The most recent spy photos show a white Kia Sorento positioned close to other Kia vehicles, including Seltos, Sonet, Carens, and Carnival.

The Kia Sorento is a mid-size 3-row SUV that is 4,810 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, 1,700 mm height, and has a 2,815 mm chassis. If the Sorento is introduced today in India, it will compete with vehicles like the Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq. The Santa Fe is the Hyundai model of the Sorento. The platforms, drivetrains, and other components are identical for both SUVs. On the other hand, Hyundai Santa Fe is a 5-seat SUV, whilst Sorento is available in a 7-seat version.

The primary goal of Sorento’s unveiling at the 2023 Auto Expo is to determine public enthusiasm for the SUV. It will likely materialise here very soon. Sorento offers a total of 4 engine choices throughout all international markets. A 1.6-litre turbo petrol-hybrid combination, a 1.6-litre plug-in hybrid, a 2.2-litre turbo diesel, and a 2.5-litre turbo petrol non-hybrid are the available options.

New Kia Carnival Spied in India

The new Kia Carnival receives a sportier transformation with a chrome-finished perforated forehead, slender headlights with LED DRLs, a contoured bonnet, and a streamlined bumper segment. A new set of alloy wheels and more pronounced character lines can be seen in the side appearance. The new Carnival has more SUV-like design characteristics than the one already for sale in India.

The interior of the car has several important functionalities, including two 12.3-inch dual panoramic exhibits with transportation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Bose 12-speaker deluxe playback mechanism with a diligent extraneous amplification, commuters view with night vision, an intercom regime for speaking with the second and third rows of commuters, heated and ventilated leather upholstery, two dual authority sunroofs, and two dual-screen rear-seat infotainment systems with device mirroring.

With the new Carnival, ADAS capabilities are also offered. Blind-spot vision monitoring, blind-spot intervention, highway driving assistance, navigation-based smart cruise control, safe exit aid, advanced catastrophe mitigation guidance, rear cross-traffic catastrophe guidance, and parking collision assistance are all included. The Kia Carnival has a 3.5-litre gasoline engine and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine in foreign countries. Only the 2.2-litre diesel engine is offered in India. It has an 8-speed Sportsmatic gearbox and produces 200 PS and 440 Nm.
