Tata Motors has unveiled the new Range Rover Velar. Along with this, it has also received many updates. The styling of the luxury SUV is similar to the outgoing model, but minor changes have been made to make it more attractive.
The new Range Rover Velar has sharper headlamps with LED daytime running lights flanking an all-black-themed front grille. Talking about its real profile, it gets an updated bumper where the lower part has been given a facelift. The side profile of the SUV remains the same as the pre-facelift version. The car is now available with colour options like Metallic Veresin Blue or Premium Metallic Zadar Grey.
Significant changes inside the cabin
Significant changes have been made inside the cabin of this SUV. The new Range Rover Velar features Land Rover’s stunning 11.4-inch large touchscreen infotainment system with a floating curved glass display, which adds to the premiums. This update also brings the SUV in the same line as Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. The automaker claims that due to this change, people inside the car can access up to 80 per cent of all the features available in the car with just two taps of the home screen.
The touchscreen infotainment system is powered by the automaker’s Pivi Pro system and comes with over-the-air (OTA) wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Wireless charging is also available in it for charging mobiles. Inside the cabin gets updated leather-free upholstery, with three new leather interior themes available for the new Velar. One option in this is Cloud, Raven Blue and Deep Garnet. Land Rover has also added moonlight chrome accents on the steering wheel, air vents and centre console surround.
The engine has a battery upgrade with the plug-in hybrid variant increasing the capacity from 13.6 kWh to 19.2 kWh, which increases its range.
