Chinese vehicle manufacturer Geely has launched its new electric car named Panda Mini EV in China. The size of this car is very small, which is less than that of the Tata Nano. That is, its length is only 3065mm as against the 3099mm size of Nano. An LFP battery pack has been used in this car. Geely claims that it can give a range of 150 km/charge. Its price is 10,000 yuan, i.e. around 5 lakh rupees. The sale of this car will start in 2023. It will compete with the Wuling Honggang Mini EV and MG Air EV in the market.
A 30kw electric motor has been given in the Panda Mini Electric Car, which has been combined with an LFP battery pack, but the capacity of this battery has yet to be informed. According to the company, it can be run up to 150 km at full charge. Only 2 doors have been given in this car, but it can seat four people.
The interior of the Panda Mini EV features a dashboard matching the exterior theme. It features a panoramic sunroof, AC wings at the bottom, a large infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, multiple control switches, etc. Its wheelbase is 2.01 m, length 3m and width 1.5m.
It can compete with MG’s Air EV, which the company can launch in India next year. Two battery packs of 17.3kWh and 26.7kWh can be found in this car, giving a range of up to 200 km and 300 km, respectively, on charge.
