Maruti Suzuki introduced its first off-roader SUV Jimny 5-door, at Auto Expo 2023, and along with it, the company has also started booking for it. According to Maruti, he received more than 5000 bookings for this car in the first five days.

The new Jimny 5-door is an updated model of its 3-door model. Its wheelbase is 340 mm longer than the 3-door version. The SUV measure 3,985mm in length, 1,645mm in width and 1,720mm in height. While it has a ground clearance of 210mm, an approach angle of 36 degrees and a departure angle of 50 degrees.
Maruti Jimny has a 1.5-litre K15B NA petrol engine, which will come with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission; this engine can make 105 bhp power and 134 Nm torque. This engine has been equipped with mild-hybrid technology. Suzuki will get AllGrip Pro 4WD system and low-range gearbox with ‘2WD-High’, ‘4WD-High’ and ‘4WD-Low’.
This SUV of Maruti can be launched in the country by May 2023. This car will compete with the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-Door and Force Gurkha 5-Door in the country.
