Even though SUV cars of less than Rs 10 lakh are sold the most in India, SUVs of companies of more than Rs 10 lakh are also sold a lot. There is fierce competition between Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors in the midsize and full-size SUV segments. While the Mahindra XUV300 continues to languish ahead of the Tata Nexon in the compact SUV sales chart, the Mahindra XUV700 single-handedly takes on SUVs like the Tata Safari and the Tata Harrier in the midsize SUV segment.
Mahindra XUV700 storms the market
If we look at the sales report of 2022 itself, then a total of 5701 units of Mahindra XUV700 SUV were sold. Powerful SUVs like Tata Safari and Harrier sold only 3400 units. In this situation, Mahindra XUV700 is the winner of this segment, and all other SUVs are far behind in sales. You will be surprised to know that about 10,000 units of XUV700 are booked every month. However, deliveries are getting delayed due to semiconductor shortages.
