South Korean automaker brand Kia unveiled its all-electric SUV concept – the Kia Concept EV9, at the Auto Expo. Kia has given a glimpse of the global electric SUV of the future with the Concept EV9. The vehicle will be launched in the international markets in the first quarter of 2023.
The EV9 measures 4,930 mm in length, 2,055 mm in width, and 1,790 mm in height. Along with this, a wheelbase of 3,100 mm has been given to it. The Concept EV9 can be described as a beautiful car that flaunts its stunning quadrangular on-road presence.
The Concept EV9 is inspired by nature and uses upcycled materials from waste accumulated in the fragile marine ecosystem. Based on the brand’s latest design language, Opposites United, the concept is influenced by the ‘Bold for Nature’ pillar, which helps give the fully electric SUV concept an iconic and bold shape.
The exterior of the car epitomizes a vehicle that is highly capable, practical and ready for action. Also, from the side, the modern angular profile gives the electric SUV a simple yet distinctive look. And the interior part is excellent too.
The Kia Concept EV9 is based on the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform), Kia’s EV dedicated platform, which comprises the vehicle’s chassis, including the battery, motor and electric power system. And its scalable wheelbase helps the company to manufacture different types of cars. The platform currently hosts the makings of the EV6 sold in India.
