Hyundai’s Next Gen Sedan: Bigger and Bolder, Takes on Honda City Facelift

What will be the dimension?

The wheelbase of this brand-new Hyundai model is 2670 mm. This car measures 1475 mm in height, 1765 mm in width, and 4535 mm in length. Compared to its present model, this car is broader and longer. Nonetheless, the height has remained constant.

Compete with Honda City Facelift

The new Verna measures 4535 mm in length, 1765 mm in width, 1475 mm in height, 2670 mm in wheelbase, and 528 L in boot space.

The new Honda City facelift measures 4549 mm in length, 1748 mm in width, 1489 mm in height, 2600 mm in wheelbase, and 506 litres in cargo space.

The redesigned 2023 Hyundai Verna is 17 mm wider and offers more space than the Honda City. The new Verna offers a boot size of 528 litres compared to the Honda City’s 506 litres. Longer than the new Verna is the new City sedan. The new generation Verna has been “intended to offer a luxury and opulent appeal,” according to Hyundai. It “uses innovative design and technology together with the premium and up-market interiors”.


The 2023 Hyundai Verna has greater breadth and a longer wheelbase, providing extra room for the second row. While the front and rear passengers now have more shoulder room and more room for their legs and knees in the back seats. This car has a wide trunk opening, a cooled glovebox, a phone holder, multiple bottle holders, and a multipurpose console.

How will the engine be?

Two petrol engine choices will be available for the new 2023 Hyundai Verna: a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and a 1.5L turbocharged engine. The 6-speed manual and iVT gearboxes for the naturally aspirated engine and the 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT automatic gearboxes for the turbo-petrol engine, respectively, will be available. The new Verna, which features a turbo-petrol engine, will be the most potent vehicle in its class. E20 ethanol fuel is suitable for both of these engines.
