Hyundai Ioniq 5 To Offer Level 2 ADAS In India, Launch Next Month

Before the launch of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the company confirmed its safety features. The upcoming electric car will be offered with Hyundai SmartSense features. These safety features are Level 2 ADAS-rated. This means that India’s locally assembled electric crossover will use the South Korean auto company’s advanced automated sensing technology for accident prevention and safety. Hyundai’s whole emphasis is on making this car better and safer.

The new technology in the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5 will use its front and rear radar systems, front cameras, and other sensors. This system immediately informs the driver to avoid an accident or any obstacle in the middle of the way. According to South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai, the SmartSense feature in the new electric car is similar to the Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).

ADAS and Safety Features

Level 2 ADAS in Hyundai Ioniq 5 has 21 active safety features, which help make the car safer. Hyundai SmartSense offers three safety features – Driving Confidence, Convenience and Safety, and Convenient Parking. For your information, let us tell you that a maximum of 13 safety features have been given in the driving confidence features. At the same time, 4-4 active features will be available in the remaining two categories.

Talking about its range, the upcoming electric car will cover a distance of 481 kilometers once fully charged. Hyundai’s portfolio will be strengthened through this car.
