Jeep is getting ready to launch a new midsize SUV, which will be positioned as the most affordable model in its lineup, to further extend its range following the successful introduction of the new Meridian SUV in India. The Jeep Avenger is a brand-new SUV that has made its debut globally and comes with various powertrain choices.

The 1.2L turbo-petrol engine that will initially power the new Jeep SUV has a 100 horsepower maximum output and can only be ordered with a manual transmission. Additionally, the company is anticipated to unveil a new mild hybrid drivetrain for the Avenger SUV that will use a 54 kWh battery pack made by Stellantis.

Peak power and torque output from this configuration are anticipated to be 156 bhp and 260 Nm, respectively. This new medium compact Jeep SUV will only be available as a standard with an FWD layout, in contrast to many other Jeep SUVs. Jeep’s Selec Terrain off-road modes, however, are available on all models of the SUV for increased capabilities and improved performance.

The SUV is supported by the same modular CMP platform that supports the C3 in India. It features the brand’s distinctive seven-slot grille at the front with split DRLs on either end. We receive body covering on all sides, and the car rolls on 18-inch machine-cut alloy wheels.

Interior features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument console, rectangular air vents, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control, and more. The dashboard has a simple design.

Additionally, Jeep is developing an all-electric SUV with a real-world range of more than 400 kilometres on a single charge. About this SUV, more information still needs to be discovered. When made available in India, the new Jeep Avenger SUV will compete against vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and the brand-new Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
