Maruti Suzuki launched its first mid-size SUV, Grand Vitara, in September. The company started its booking in July 2022 and received a great customer response. The company has revealed that the Maruti Grand Vitara has received around 88,000 bookings, and 55,500 orders are pending delivery. Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said the company’s production target might fall by 2 million units this fiscal year. Currently, Maruti has pending orders for around 3.75 lakh units.
Price and Variants
The Maruti Grand Vitara SUV model comprises 11 variants with four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Its mild hybrid manual variant costs Rs 10.45 lakh to Rs 16.89 lakh. At the same time, the mild hybrid automatic model has priced between Rs 13.40 lakh to Rs 16.89 lakh. It is also sold in two strong hybrid variants – Zeta+ and Alpha+, which cost Rs 17.99 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh, respectively.
Maruti Grand EngineÂ
The Grand Vitara is the most fuel-efficient SUV in the country. The company claims its Strong Hybrid variant can give a mileage of up to 28Kmpl. It has two engine options – 1.5-litre petrol mild-hybrid and 1.5-litre petrol strong-hybrid. Maruti has taken the strong-hybrid technology from Toyota. Self-charging technology has been given to it. That is, the battery present in it gets charged by itself.
