Zeta and Alpha editions of the 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny will be sold starting in March or June 2023. The five-door Jimny and the Fronx coupe SUV were launched by Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) during the 2023 Auto Expo. The latter will go on sale in late March or early April 2023, whereas the previous will debut in May or June of that year. Both vehicles will be sold via Nexa’s upscale outlets, and they are extremely important to the company’s strategy for growing its SUV market share.

The three-door Global Jimny Sierra is significantly distinct from the five-door Jimny. It is particularly roomy because of the extended wheelbase and the two extra doors, which provide more space for passengers and a larger boot. Additionally, it has upgraded amenities, incorporating a connectivity-friendly nine-inch smart entertainment interface.

For several years, the Jimny has been known for its all-terrain versatility in external trade, and Maruti Suzuki will also offer the acclaimed AllGrip Pro four-wheel-drive powertrain with a low-range transfer gear (4L mode) in India. A 1.5-liter, four-cylinder K15B mild-hybrid combustion engine with a potential leverage output of 105 horsepower will be accountable for the efficiency.

It will produce 134 Nm of maximum performance. A four-speed turbo conversion automated powertrain will be available, while a five-speed manual tranny will be conventional. The Jimny, which uses a ladder structure chassis, will be sold in two specification versions, Zeta and Alpha, and it will go up alongside the five-door Force Gurkha and the impending Mahindra Thar.

The five-door Jimny will be sold by the biggest automaker in the nation with a variety of conventional containment technologies like ABS with EBD, electronic throttle programme, hill hold aid, and six airbags, as well as seven different coloring palettes.
