In 2022, Maruti Suzuki will introduce a variety of new models in the nation. Car consumers have responded overwhelmingly to the corporation ‘s new line of vehicles. MSIL now has outstanding commitments for about 4.05 lakh units this month due to logistic network restrictions. The recently released SUVs Jimny and Fronx have also gotten favourable feedback from customers, so the inventory could grow even much farther.
Over 11,000 orders for the Jimny luxury SUV and 4,000 reservations for the Fronx crossover have both been placed with Maruti Suzuki. By the conclusion of December 2022, Maruti Suzuki had about 3.63 lakh unfilled client reservations, where about 1.19 lakh were for recently released automobiles.
Maruti Suzuki estimated a 28% rise in investigations and a 16% spike in reservations in January 2019 comparison to January 2022. The introduction of the redesigned Jimny and Fronx has significantly increased the number of outstanding reservations. Nearly 1,000 reservations for the Jimny and about 300 orders for the Fronx are made through MSIL each day.
An electrical component shortfall in the third quarter of 2022, from November to December, reduced Maruti Suzuki’s output by around 46,000 vehicles. The corporation reported a year-over-year revenue growth of 16 %, selling 15.76 lakh automobiles in 2022 as opposed to 13.64 lakh units in 2021.
According to Maruti Suzuki, the Fronx compact and the redesigned Jimny will go on sale in the springtime of 2023. These two SUVs will be offered for sale at NEXA’s top-tier locations. A 1.5L K15B combustion engine with Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 44 will propel the Jimny as default. Suzuki’s 1.0L Boosterjet turbo petrol engine will also make a comeback with the Fronx.
