The Indian automobile sector is set to have an interesting 2023. We’ll see various trends shift, from rising e- and hybrid-vehicle adoption to rising demand for SUVs and MPVs (family cars). A new 7-seater car being developed by Citroen will be based on the C3 hatchback. Recently, a prototype was seen on video covered heavily in camouflage. The next Citroen 7-seater MPV will be longer and offer a roomier interior than its younger brother. It will have a longer wheelbase and greater ground clearance. The MPV will probably use the same C3 hatchback’s 1.2L normally aspirated and 1.2L turbo petrol engines.
Maruti’s new MPV
Maruti Suzuki is also looking to expand its portfolio in the MPV segment. While the Ertiga is taking the market by storm, the company is gearing to launch another 7 Seater MPV.
