2023 Kia Carnival Likely To Launch In India In April 2023: Know Details From Features To Engine

In India, sales of the new-generation Kia Carnival are anticipated to begin in April 2023.

The Carens were released by Kia India earlier this year, and customers seem to like them. Given that the Carnival is already on the market and doing well in the premium segment, this is the brand’s second MPV. Although Kia has been selling the latest generation Carnival in other markets for some time, it has yet to reach India.

At the 2023 Auto Expo, the fourth-generation Kia Carnival is anticipated to debut. The primary auto show will be held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. Kia recently teased the EV9 seven-seater electric SUV concept, which will also be displayed. Comparing the new Carnival to the current model, a significant change has been made.

The new Kia Carnival will come with a wheelbase of 3,090mm, which will be 30mm longer than its current model. Its overall length and width have also been increased. On the inside, it will get a dual-tone beige and brown theme, with a new dashboard with wood trim and two 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. Also, a new steering wheel and touch-sensitive buttons for infotainment and climate control can be found on the centre console.

The new Carnival could come with multi-zone climate control, powered sliding rear doors and a dual sunroof setup. In the global market, it comes in three seat configuration options – 7, 9 and 11. Its 7-seater version comes with reclining captain seats, USB charging ports in the front seatbacks, and storage drawers in the rear console.

The new Kia Carnival has been offered three engine options in the global market. One is 3.5L V6 MPi petrol, the second is 2.2L Smartstream, and the third is the 3.5L GDi V6 Smartstream engine option. Its 3.5L petrol engine generates 268bhp power along with 332Nm peak torque. While the 2.2L engine outputs 290bhp with 355Nm, and the 3.5L Smartstream motor outputs 199bhp with 440Nm. It can be offered in India with a 2.2L diesel engine, which generates 200bhp power and 440Nm peak torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox can be found with it.
