In the Indian market, the 2023 Hyundai Creta has been introduced with more safety features and improved powertrains. The facelifted model has yet to be released by the corporation, but it’s now anticipated to do so in 2024. The Creta model year 2023 has seen a price increase of up to Rs 45,000 due to new modifications.

2023 Hyundai Creta – safety features

Numerous new safety measures are standard across all Creta versions in the revised model. Six airbags, vehicle stability management (VSM), electronic stability control (ESC), and hill-start assist control are included with the SUV (HAC). All four disc brakes, ISOFIX anchors, and height-adjustable seat belts are included as standard equipment on all trims, which is an additional benefit. Additionally, all variations come with 60:40 split rear seats.

No – 1.4L turbo petrol engine

Hyundai will stop making the 1.4L turbo petrol engine, as it won’t be modified to comply with the new real-driving emission or RDE requirements, as we already informed you. Only two engine options are available for the 2023 Hyundai Creta: a 1.5-litre NA petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel. The idle start/stop technology is now available for both powertrain configurations. The turbo diesel engine produces 115 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, compared to the petrol engine’s 144 Nm and 115 bhp.

There are three transmission options:

  • A 6-speed manual comes standard.
  • A 6-speed iMT with gasoline and CVT with gasoline.
  • A 6-speed torque converter with diesel.

Modern petrol and diesel engines can run on E20 fuel and comply with Real Drivin Emissions, or RDE. For those unaware, the RDE or BS6 Phase 2 regulations will be implemented starting on April 1, 2023.
