Royal Enfield has confirmed the launch of several new 350cc and 650cc motorcycles, some of which are undergoing testing. These models will be for domestic and global markets. One of the upcoming new Royal Enfield bikes is the 650cc Scrambler, which was spied testing in late 2022. It is now being said in media reports that the production-ready version of the new Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler may be named ‘Royal Enfield Sherpa 650’. This will be a segment bike above the RE Bullet.
A 648cc, parallel-twin engine can be given in this bike, which can generate 47bhp power and 52Nm torque. The company can tune the engine to suit the needs of the cruiser motorcycle. It will come with slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox. The spotted prototype got an upside-down fork suspension at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Disc brakes were seen at the front and rear. The bike will get dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard fitment.
The upcoming Royal Enfield Sherpa 650 will be the first bike from the brand to come with a 2-into-1 exhaust system. It could get retro-styled circular headlamps, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a flat seat. Semi-digital instrument console and tripper navigation system can also be given in it.
All information about the bike has yet to be given by the company. In the latter half of 2023 or early 2024, the Sherpa 650 will debut. It will cost somewhere between the Interceptor 650 and the Super Meteor 650. That means this bike’s ex-showroom price can reach Rs. 3.30 lakh.
