Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) may soon bring new scooters into the Indian market. The company has filed patents for two of its scooters, whose information has been leaked. This includes the NS125LA and the Wiener X models, which are already on sale in the international markets.
It is worth noting that both these models are available abroad as commuter scooters and are anticipated to be brought in the same form in India.
Features of Honda NS125LA
Based on the overseas Honda NS125LA scooter, the model patented in India is expected to feature a classic, retro design with round headlamps and sleek, curvy body paneling. At the same time, a new engine will be seen in it.
As a powertrain, this commuter scooter has a 124.9cc air-cooled engine, generating maximum power of 8.97 hp and a peak torque of 9.87 Nm.
Features of Honda Winner X
Talking about the Honda Winner X scooter was first introduced in 2016. It has been given many features like a full digital display, keyless operation, all-LED lighting, and a USB charging port. At the same time, it comes with a 150cc motor capable of generating 15.6 hp power and 13.5 Nm peak torque. Also, this scooter has been linked to a 6-speed gearbox.
The company still needs to give information about when these two scooters will be brought to India. It is feared that these scooters may take a long time to arrive in India, as their existing engine is different from BS6 standards.
