Booking for the world’s first flying motorcycle has started. This motorcycle can fly at a speed of 96 km per hour for 30 minutes. This flying bike has been named ‘Speeder’. Its initial price has been kept at Rs 3.15 crore.
The bike weighing 136 kg will be able to carry 272 kg. It can also be controlled remotely. Jetpack Aviation Company of America has made the flying bike. The original design had four turbines, but the final product will have eight. Two will be in each corner of the bike for safety.
Jetpack Aviation is flight testing the world’s first flying motorcycle. It is expected to get the certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration. In 2-3 years, the company’s 8 jet engine speeder flying bike can come on the market.
According to the company, the flying bike is an air utility vehicle. That is, it can also be used for purposes like medical emergencies and fire extinguishing. The company is also developing an unmanned version for the military market as a cargo aircraft. It can fly 100 feet above the ground at a speed of 400 mph.
Last year, Japan’s startup company AERWINS Technology demonstrated the flying bike ‘XTurismo’ at the Detroit Auto Show in America. The bike, with a top speed of up to 100 kmph, runs on petrol. The mass production of the bike has yet to start. This bike can be flown in the air for about 30 to 40 minutes. The 300 kg bike will be able to bear the weight of about 100 kg while flying.
