Two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha Motor will soon launch the 2023 FZ-X motorcycle in the Indian market. It is based on a 150cc platform. This new bike will be equipped with dual-channel ABS.
According to media reports, the bike will get several new colour options and two-piston callipers at the front as major changes. It will get golden-finish alloy wheels and black rims with pin-striping like Yamaha FZS 25 and FZ FI.
The 2023 Yamaha FZ-X is available in three colour options: Metallic Blue, Matte Black and Matte Copper. The current generation Yamaha FZ-X gets a circular headlamp, a projector unit and an integrated DRL. In a way, the new bike will remain similar to the current version. The Yamaha FZ-X that comes with the FZ FI engine gets a 150cc engine capable of generating 2.2 bhp power and 13.3 Nm torque. It has been given a 5-speed gearbox. Its top speed is 115 kmph.
The dual-channel anti-lock braking system can be considered standard or optional in Yamaha’s new FZ-X bike. Although this thing still needs to be confirmed. The mileage of this bike can be more than its current model. The price of the 2023 Yamaha FZ-X in the country can be around Rs 1.40 lakh. The company still needs to disclose the date of its launch.
This new bike from Yamaha will compete with TVS Apache RTR 160. It is a street bike, which is available at a starting price of Rs.1,18,381. It comes in 3 variants and 5 colours. It gets a 159.7cc BS6 engine, generating 15.31 bhp power and 13.9 Nm torque. It has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear with an anti-locking system.
