Bajaj Auto intends to introduce the upgraded Chetak electric scooter to the nation. The company recently homologated its revised Premium variant, which is referred to as the base model. The 2023 Bajaj Chetak will have the same 3.8kW/4.1kW electric motor that sends power to the back wheel through an automatic transmission, according to the type-approval document. A 24.5-kilogram lithium-ion battery pack will be used to power the motor. The gross vehicle weight will equal the present model at 283 kg.

According to the document, the new Chetak will promise a range of 108 kilometers on a single charge. The current model has a range in Eco and Sports modes of 90 km and 80 km, respectively. Its measurements won’t be altered in any way. The new Bajaj Chetak for 2023 will have the same dimensions of 1894mm in length, 725mm in width, and 1132mm in height, with a 1330mm wheelbase.

Its design should only undergo minor modifications. The new Chetek will have the same fully LED lighting, digital console, “feature-touch” switchgear, 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tires, 4L glove box, keyless entry, and 18-liter boot space. The current color options—Veluto Rosso, Brooklyn Black, Indigo Metallic, and Hazel Nut—will be available for the electric scooter.

Prices for the new 2023 Bajaj Chetak are anticipated to be quite comparable to the current model. The Premium variant offers the latter for Rs. 1.46 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
