Design and Styling

The Magma GT Concept exhibits a very low-set front, a greatly elongated roofline, and wide rear fenders that are very muscular and all of which contribute to the car’s stability and aerodynamics. The front of the car has a very aggressive look that comes from the use of the company’s unmistakable twin-blade headlamps, the inclusion of canards, and the presence of a full-width lower air inlet. The rear part of the car also has a very distinctive feature— there is a twin-bar LED light strip that connects the flared fenders. Butterfly doors are there, as well as flush-fitting handles and a roof-mounted intake supplying air to the engine compartment which altogether give the car an even sportier and more futuristic character. The very sculpted surfaces are all meant to enhance airflow and, at the same time, to uphold the Genesis’ “Athletic Elegance” design philosophy which in turn reflects the classic proportions of race cars.

Engine

Genesis, keeping a tight lid on technical details, has indicated that the Magma GT will be powered by a combustion V8 engine instead of an all-electric setup in compliance with GT racing and performance goals. In addition, they are considering hybrid configurations as a way to get track-ready performance along with endurance capabilities. The vehicle is characterized by no compromises on handling, aerodynamics, and driver interaction all of the factors making it a genuine performance-oriented halo vehicle.

Future Plans

Though there is no specific production timeline provided, the Genesis automaker has indicated that the Magma GT Concept will eventually transform into a road-going halo vehicle by decade’s end. This car will be perched at the summit of the Magma sub-brand, alongside the GV60 Magma, and it will serve as a bridge between Genesis’ road and track ambitions. Furthermore, a racing version of the Magma GT is also in the plans, which will enter the GT sports car racing league, thus, continuing the company’s GMR-001 endurance racing program and additionally making the point that the brand is gradually shifting focus from ultra-luxury to performance-luxury.

The Genesis Magma GT Concept has a perfect alert for the decade of performance vehicles to come, it will be the next GEN-MOD and the higher version of the Genesis that was created for GT racing to track-fueled luxury in a super mid-engine package which will not only speak but also print the signature of the automaker for offering high-performance driving.
