3 Upcoming Kia SUVs In India – Seltos, Syros EV & Sorento Hybrid

3 Upcoming Kia SUVs In India – Kia is steadily reinforcing its foothold in India and has already lined up a series of thrilling launches for 2026-2027 to showcase its presence. The Korean carmaker, which is known for its modern and luxurious cars, is getting ready to introduce three big models namely the next-gen Seltos, the all-electric Syros EV, and the 7-seater Sorento Hybrid. Besides, the new launches will also bring the company’s ICE and EV segment portfolios to par in the Indian market, thus giving the buyers a wider range of premium SUVs to choose from.

Next-Gen Kia Seltos

The next-gen Kia Seltos, internal code SP3i, will present itself to the world on December 10, 2025, and an Indian launch in the first half of 2026 is already predicted. The new Seltos is anticipated to be more sizeable, it will have a complete new exterior with a bolder modernistic design, and the decision is up to the customers to what line of thinking they prefer. The India model is likely to come with the same engines as before, which are the 1.5-litre NA petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre CRDi diesel, but at the same time, a strong hybrid variant will also be introduced and all these engine offerings CE-this is done with the purpose that the performance, efficiency, and overall appeal of the Seltos are improved making it less difficult for the mid-size SUV to compete with others in the segment.

Kia Syros EV

Kia has confirmed its intention to launch the Syros EV in India; however, the precise timing of the launch is still to decide. The Syros EV will feature a very subtle design modification that will consist of new bumpers, stylish alloy wheels that reduce air resistance, and the logo specific to EVs. There’s no official word on the battery specs yet, but the SUV is being looked at as if it has around 400 kilometers of claimed range per one-time charging which puts it on the same level as the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV400 EV in terms of competition. The Syros EV will be a smart choice of the Indian users in the fast-growing electric SUV segment as it will be equipped with efficiency, technology, and zero-emission mobility.

Kia Sorento 7-Seater Hybrid

The 7-Seater Kia Sorento, which is the hybrid version of the MQ4i, has been seen undergoing tests in India and is likely to be available by the year 2026. The SUV will have some eye-catching features such as vertically arranged headlamps with DRLs, 19-inch alloy wheels, metallic roof rails, front parking sensors, and divided LED tail lamps. The Indian version of the Sorento is expected to combine a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a strong hybrid system, which is also going to be used in the upcoming Seltos—for the sake of better mileage and combating the high prices. This three-row SUV will attract premium customers who are looking for similar models from brands like Jeep, Toyota, Skoda, and MG, as it will be able to offer hybrid efficiency along with ample space, comfort, and the latest technology.
