Top 5 Budget-Friendly Cars – With Indian car purchasers becoming more safety-conscious, the introduction of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), which have hitherto been exclusive to luxurious vehicles, in the cheaper segment has begun. One of them is the Level-2 ADAS, which enables the car to control the steering, accelerate and brake all at the same time but with the condition that the driver is always alert. Below are the five cheapest cars in India in 2025 that not only offer this high-tech safety feature but also attract safety-conscious buyers.

1. Honda Amaze

The Honda Amaze is the largest car in India with Level 2 ADAS. It has a range of about ₹9.15-10 lakh (ex-showroom) for its base and top variants respectively. The features include adaptive cruise control plus lane-keeping and automatic emergency braking for the ZX variant of the car. Its engine is 1.2-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC which gives 89 bhp and 110 Nm torque and is mated with a continuous transmission for easier maneuvering in city and on highways respectively.

2. Mahindra XUV 3XO

With an approximate price range of ₹12.17-14.40 lakh (ex-showroom), the XUV 3XO comes with 2 tiers of which AX5L and AX7L have ADAS. The customers have the option to choose between a 1.2-litre T-GDi turbo-petrol engine with 128 bhp output or a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 115 bhp plus features like autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning and lane-keep assist.

 

3. Tata Nexon

With a starting price of approximately ₹12.16 lakh (ex-showroom), the Nexon comes with strong ADAS specifications in the Fearless+PS variant. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 118 bhp and 170 Nm torque. Apart from the safety features, the ADAS suite is a good deal in this segment for those buyers who are safety-conscious but are not ready to pay a higher price.

4. Honda City

The Honda City is priced at about ₹12.69-16.07 lakh (ex-showroom) for the models with a Level-2 ADAS and is the king of the sedan segment. The 1.5-litre petrol motor produces 120 bhp and 145 Nm torque and has a choice of manual or CVT.
