Upcoming Honda Hybrid SUVs in India – Honda is preparing to enter the Indian market on a big scale with a considerable emphasis on hybrid as well as electric powertrains. The company has set a target of introducing 10 new models by 2030, which will include 7 SUVs that will be powered by internal combustion engines, hybrids, and electric technology. The Honda Prelude coupe, Honda ZR-V, and Honda 0 SUV are among the three imported models that will be positioned as halo products, indicating the global expertise and premium appeal of Honda.

Elevate Hybrid
The Honda Elevate Hybrid is going to be the first strong hybrid from the brand in India and is expected to be launched in the second half of 2026, around Diwali. Although the complete powertrain details are not out yet, it may utilize the Atkinson Cycle 1.5L petrol engine in combination with dual electric motors, just like the City e:HEV. The SUV will be assembled at Honda’s Tapukara plant in Rajasthan and will provide an efficient and modern hybrid drive experience.

Prelude Coupe
The Honda Prelude Coupe is a hybrid coupe that is going to be released in the first half of 2026. It is powered by a 2.0L petrol engine that produces 141bhp, and this engine is mated to an electric motor that has 181bhp giving a total power of 200bhp. The coupe will be front-wheel drive and is to be regarded as a premium halo product with an estimated price of Rs 80 lakh that would be a perfect mix of sporty performance and hybrid efficiency.

ZR-V Hybrid
The Honda ZR-V Hybrid is going to be launched in India late in 2026. It features a naturally aspirated 2.0L petrol engine, two electric motors, and a lithium-ion battery, which together render 180bhp of power and 315Nm of torque. The SUV has three driving modes which are EV, Hybrid, and Engine, and it merges cutting-edge technology with practical SUV design. Some of the regions also offer a 1.5L turbo petrol engine mated to CVT and AWD, making it capable of adapting to various driving conditions.

7-Seater Hybrid SUV
Honda has set its sights on the premium 7-seater hybrid SUV market in the fourth quarter of 2027. This newly developed SUV will eventually lead over the Elevate in the company’s lineup. Presumably using Honda’s new PF2 modular platform, the car will be selling points like technological sophistication, luxuriousness, and economical hybrid power for the family-oriented customers who want both space and luxury.
