2025 Tata Sierra vs old: In 1991, the Tata Sierra made its entry and itured an icon right at its arrival as it had all the good and rare features of that time like the three-door layout, the curved rear glass, the SUV-like stance, and more. It was indeed a hard nut, plain, and made for the best of times. In the year 2025, Tata Motors has let this heritage model, a cool blend of modern technology and vintage Sierra silhouette, come to life. The all-new Sierra is now a premium mid-size SUV available in petrol, diesel, and electric variations, bringing a perfect mix of nostalgia and future-ready design to the market.

Old Look
The first Sierra spoke of ruggedness and muscularity. Its front had square-shaped headlights, a wide grille which had horizontal slats, and a high thick bumper that all gave a very bold off-road look. The designers were very good at it; they preferred simplicity, did not mind practicality, and were not very particular about style.
The Sierra’s side view made the identification easy. Along with its three-door design, it also had the signature curved fixed glass at the back. The tall ground clearance, large wheel wells, and usable roof rails contributed to the adventure-ready appearance of the SUV. The cabin was less luxury-oriented with hard plastics, limited features, and a durability-oriented dashboard being the main points of the interior.

The rear end was simple in its presentation with a flat trunk, square taillights, and a heavy bummper. The old Sierra was rugged in every aspect, and that was its endearing quality.
New Look
With the 2025 Sierra, the refreshing, luxury, and tech-savvy character come to the fore melting into the classic silhouette. The new front is an entirely new creation with smart LED lighting going across a black panel. The hood still looks flat and upright, though the bumper is now a bit more shaped with a skid plate and sharper air intakes thereby giving the SUV an updated self-assured stance.
From the perspective of practicality, the SUV now features five doors. The given Sierra form is still there, but the rear curved glass is replaced by a wrap-around window design that gives an illusion of a single-piece glass panel. Flush door handles, high-end alloy wheels, and thick black cladding markings futuristic innovation while being tough.
The one big modern upgrade at the rear has happened. An interconnected LED light bar crosses the tailgate showing a futuristic side. A huge black bumper with a robust skid plate makes the design tough yet fashionable. The roof spoiler and expansive rear glass are the elements that continue the Sierra character even in a new version.
The change in the interior is enormous. The 2025 Sierra is a luxury soft-touch cabin with a tiered dashboard, mood lighting, and a triple-screen arrangement with 12.3-inch displays. A backlit Tata logo on the steering wheel, a dial-type drive gear selector, and a panoramic sunroof make it a luxe SUV. Modern features like wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, cooling ventilation, and ADAS are all included in the package.
