Design

The Dark Edition gives a new look to the Sierra. Even though Tata has not formally introduced this variant, it is very likely that the Dark theme will come to be part of the Sierra range. The SUV in this version has its wheels blacked out, the front and rear bumpers are darker, there are black roof rails, and there is Dark Edition badging. The overall black paint scheme adds to the Sierra’s muscular dimensions, making the SUV look more luxurious and assertive on the road.

Interior

The complete dark theme is also applied to the interior just like the outside. The all-black dashboard, door panels, and seats impart the interior with a sophisticated and dynamic appearance. Tata’s Dark Edition models are already a hit among customers for their plush cabin ambience, and the same attraction is anticipated in the case of the Sierra. The dark inside will not only create a contemporary look for the SUV but will also contribute to the visibility of the digital screens and metal trims inside.

Features

Several premium features have been confirmed from the prototype shown at the unveil. The Sierra will come with a triple-screen setup, a powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, JBL in-car sound system, multi-terrain modes, and a panoramic glass roof. The expected additional features include a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, and a sound bar mounted on the dashboard. All these features suggest that the Sierra will be an SUV highly regarded for its technological aspect and comfort in its segment.

Engine

The Sierra will be available with a total of three engine variations introduced by Tata. The turbo petrol of 1.5-litre capacity, 1.5-litre capacity naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine are the three options. Even though the official figures are yet to be made public, the choice of the powertrain indicates that the Sierra would provide a combination of both power and efficiency that would be appropriate for driving in the city as well as on the highway.

Price

The price of the Tata Sierra is anticipated to be in the range of Rs 12 lakh to Rs 24 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The Sierra, with its premium features, futuristic design, and various powertrain options, is poised to be a strong competitor in the mid-size SUV segment.
