Hero Vida VX2 Go: Hero MotoCorp has added the new VIDA VX2 Go 3.4kWh to its electric brand VIDA. The model seeks city riders who need long-range, easy charging, and practical electric scooters for daily use. With a massive battery and an attractive price, the VX2 Go 3.4kWh aspires to eliminate range concerns and give an excellent opportunity for the mid-range EV segment.
Price
The new VIDA VX2 Go 3.4kWh is priced at ₹1.02 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi post-subsidies. Hero is also providing the Battery-as-a-Service plan wherein customers can just pay approximately ₹60,000 up front and later on pay a subscription based on how much they use the batteries. This leaves the riders with two choices depending on their budget and daily usage.
Range
The claim of rise-to-the-top range figure of 100 km on a full charge is the major selling point of the VX2 Go 3.4kWh. The scooter comes with a dual removable battery that carries the combined power of 3.4 kWh. The battery of this model is a huge step up from the 2.2 kWh base model which offers a 64 km claimed range. The longer range easily accommodates daily multi-trip city rides without the need to worry about frequent charging.
Battery
VIDA grants its customers with two removable batteries that can be charged at home, office, or any other regular 5A wall socket. This feature frees the riders from having a fixed home charger or any other special parking arrangement. The dual battery system also provides better flexibility for those living in apartments or having limited access to charging.
Design
The aesthetics of the VX2 Go 3.4kWh are not only stylish and multifunctional but also very considerate to families. Layout-wise, the scooter has not given up the standard VX2 models’ urbanity with the flat floorboard plus the seat which is at a comfortable height. The under-seat storage volume is 27.2 litres, which is slightly less than that of the base model due to the battery taking up more space. The scooter has a 4.3-inch LCD display along with Bluetooth connectivity, OTA updates, and navigation support through the My VIDA app.
Performance
A 6 kW peak motor is the power source for the scooter which creates about 8.05 PS and 26 Nm torque. The city performance is very strong and gives good acceleration. The maximum speed is 70 km/h which is perfect for the daily rides. The riders are given the option to choose between Eco mode that provides the highest range and Ride that gives equal performance.
Ride
One of the main features of VX2 Go 3.4kWh is that it is a scooter that is perfect for comfortable daily commuting. The suspension together with the riding posture contributes to the smoothness of both short and long rides. The flat footboard is a great help in carrying bags or groceries. The feel of the ride is still stable in the midst of the traffic and during the slow-speed maneuvering.
