New Renault Duster: The Duster has returned to India, and this time it is larger, more daring, and more durable. The first Renault Duster had been the go-to choice for many due to its long-lasting nature, ability to withstand extreme off-road conditions, and ease of handling. The New Renault Duster has set its journey to reclaim the hearts of people by showcasing modern design, high-tech features, and a sturdy platform that assures Indian roads taking it on without struggle. The company has given the go-ahead to unveil the SUV on the 26th of January 2026, which is Republic Day in India, and this seals the deal for the long-awaited return of the famous model.
Platform
The global CMF-B platform is the one that the New Duster is constructed on. The modern day building of the SUV gives it more security, more strength, and better quality in its riding. The body structure is designed in such a way that it can absorb bumps more and at the same time reduce the rolling of the body making it more planted on highways and at the same time composed on rough village roads.
Clearance
The Duster has always been known for its high ground clearance. The new 2026 model however has set the new standard. The 4WD variant, in the case of this car, has a ride height of 210 to 217mm which places it right up there with the leaders of the segment. The high rise not only moderates the impact of ground irregularities like potholes, bumps, and rough tracks but also eliminates underbody scraping.

Design
The New Duster has the same tough look as before but it comes with a youthful touch. The first thing that captures the eye is its bold and powerful stance due to the use of squared-off wheel arches, bold body cladding, and a chunky bumper. The front of the car is fitted with Y-shaped LED DRLs and the rear has sharp LED taillights which further give a modern look to the car. Roof rails and protective skid plates are some of the additions that are not only functional but also add to the off-road readiness.
Interior
In the cabin of the SUV, tech-oriented features are the main focus reflecting in the upgrades. To begin with, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and wireless phone charging are among the conveniences offered to the users. The cabin is like a proper marriage of modernity and practicality that still cuts space for the luggage and passengers even if the hybrid battery is integrated into the car.

Engine
The New Duster is said to have a choice of 1.3-litre or 1.2-litre Turbo-Petrol engine with the power output being in the range of 130 PS to 156 PS. The possibility is there for a Strong-Hybrid Petrol variant as well that posts a nice mileage figure. Diesel variants are completely ruled out. The upper trim levels might get the All-Wheel Drive system for enhanced traction in difficult off-road conditions.
Price
The Renault Duster 2026 is likely to carry an Ex-Showroom price tag of ₹12 lakh to ₹20 lakh, thus directly competing with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara. With its rugged character, trendy features, and the flexibility of engine choices, the Duster will not only stay but also possibly become again India’s favorite all-round SUV.
