Maruti Suzuki eVitara: Maruti Suzuki is set to make a substantial move into the electric mobility area by unleashing the all-new eVitara on December 2, 2025. It is said that this model will be available exclusively at the company’s premium NEXA dealerships and it also indicates the company’s first fully electric vehicle for both the Indian and global markets. The eVitara is constructed on a platform exclusively for EV which gives the assurance of a long-range, modern technology and a luxurious cabin experience.

Design

The eVitara has a modern SUVe posture coupled with an aerodynamic shape focused on efficiency. The front of the vehicle comes with a closed grille, sharp LED light signaling, and a smooth body that highlights the car’s electric nature. The vehicle is built on the new HEARTECT-e platform which allows for a flat floor and maximum interior space, thus further enhancing practicality and comfort.

Cabin

The eVitara intends to provide a premium NEXA-grade experience with a newly designed dual-screen cockpit. The dashboard contains a 10.1-inch infotainment display which is accompanied by a 10.25-inch digital driver cluster. The long wheelbase allows rear-seat occupants to enjoy generous knee space while the flat floor contributes to the overall feeling of spaciousness. The interior includes soft-touch materials, modern connectivity features, and comfort-oriented additions to create an inviting cabin atmosphere.

Features

Maruti Suzuki has fitted the eVitara with several top-notch technologies that are generally found in higher segment cars. The vehicle is equipped with a moonroof, front seats that can be heated and ventilated, a camera that gives a 360-degree view of the surrounding area, an electronic parking brake that has an auto-hold function, car connectivity via the “e for me” app and ADAS features of Level 2 that are safe and add to driving ease. The strength of the HEARTECT-e platform enables meeting the world’s safety standards with the use of advanced high-voltage batteries.

Performance

The electric SUV will probably come in two versions with different battery packs. The smaller 49 kWh battery gives a power of nearly 144 hp and a certified range of around 420 km, while the bigger 61 kWh battery provides a power of about 174 hp and a range of more than 500 km. The bigger pack will likely be introduced in India first. Maruti Suzuki has also stated that they will launch an AWD version in the future, thus providing more options and flexibility for customers.

Global

The eVitara is intended to be a genuinely global product. The vehicle will be manufactured at the Suzuki Motor Gujarat plant in Hansalpur and will be shipped to over 100 countries, including Japan and Europe. India will be the global production center for this strategic battery-electric vehicle, which indicates the company’s trust in local engineering and manufacturing capabilities. The model is also a manifestation of the brand’s wider commitment to the Make in India initiative.

Launch

The Maruti eVitara will officially enter the Indian market on December 2, 2025. It will be sold through the NEXA dealerships which will be supported by more than 1,500 EV-ready service points all over the country. The price is likely to be quite competitive, thus enabling Maruti Suzuki to present an attractive alternative in the expanding mid-size electric SUV segment.
