A highly refined petrol engine of 1.2 litres, naturally aspirated, is the one, which gives the power to the FronX Sigma and it works closely with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine and gearbox pairing yields smooth driving and fair fuel efficiency for daily commuting in the city.
The engine generates 88.5 bhp at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm at 4400 rpm. The mileage certified by ARAI is 21.79 kmpl. The vehicle has a ground clearance of 190 mm, and the boot space is 308 litres. There is a CNG version too for the Sigma model, which is a great option for price-conscious buyers.
Review & Features
The FronX is praised by experts for its chic design that is neither a compact SUV nor a premium hatchback but somewhere in between. The Sigma variant provides the ride quality that is comfy and covers all the basic needs that an entry-level family car would be required.
The base model is exceptionally safe with the security features of dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution, Electronic Stability Control, rear-view parking sensors, and hill hold assist. A similar vehicle with six airbags was awarded a 5-star safety rating in the ASEAN NCAP trials.

The comfort and convenience features consist of a steering wheel that can be adjusted for tilt, power windows for front and back passengers, and automatic climate control. The fabric upholstery and adjustable headrests make it comfortable for the whole group during daily trips.
The Sigma variant has little to offer in terms of infotainment options. It does not come with a touchscreen or factory-fitted music system, but there are provisions for the installation of aftermarket systems. The Delta and higher trims provide more advanced infotainment features.

Highway overtaking may require a bit extra caution than with turbo-petrol variants, however, the light steering and stable handling make it practical for daily use.
