Hyundai Verna & Exter Facelift 2026 – New Design, Tech Upgrades & Launch Details

Hyundai Verna – Hyundai is almost ready to unveil revamps of the carmakers’ two top bestsellers – the Hyundai Verna facelift and the Hyundai Exter facelift in the first half of 2026. The updates focus on modern design tweaks, advanced technology, and improved driving convenience, thus maintaining the competitiveness of both models in their respective segments till the introduction of the all-new ones by Hyundai later in 2026.

Hyundai Verna

The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift is a new car that offers a completely different rearside look. A full-width light bar with sharper graphics and updated internals is the colorful part of the sedan which is already dubbed as bold and modern. In addition to this, the bumper has a redesign and lower bumper cut results in a squared-off look. From spy shots, we can conclude that the front will come with a more angular grille and sharper light clusters reminiscent of Hyundai’s global design trend.

The Verna’s interior is expected to feature tech upgrades as the larger touchscreen, the wireless phone mirroring, and the improved ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) that are coming along with the tech such as safety and convenience. The powertrain will still be the same, consisting of a naturally aspirated petrol 1.5-litre, a turbo petrol 1.5-litre engine, and manual/automatic gear options. The refreshed Verna will still be a strong competitor with the likes of the Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia.

Hyundai Exter

One of the major highlights of the Hyundai Exter 2026 facelift is that it will be equipped with an exciting technology, first and foremost. It will launch the carmakers’ new-gen infotainment system that comes with the Android Auto Operating System (AAOS), boasting a 12.9-inch touchscreen and a 9.9-inch digital instrument cluster as part of the tech update. The whole setup not only provides seamless app integration but also portrays modern user experience.

The eco-friendly and gas variants of the 1.2-liter engine still produce 83 hp and 69 hp, respectively. Among the updates for the interior are the new upholstery, along with the addition of new safety features that are probably going to be included. Despite the fact that the exterior modifications are few and mostly uncertain, the technology-heavy upgrades make the Exter facelift a strong competitor in the compact SUV segment where it is notably pitted against the Hyundai Venue.

Conclusion

The year 2026 sees the Hyundai Verna and the Exter facelifts offering slight design modifications and considerable technology advancements, thus ensuring that Hyundai stays competitive and appealing in the market. The upgrades aim at city dwellers who want a fashionable car with state-of-the-art technology and easy driving.
